 Admissions Requirements - HIT4 Scholars Program

NOTE:  If you are accepted to, and begin, one of the HIT4 Scholars Programs, you will be required to sign an HIT4 Student Agreement. Please review the HIT4 Student Agreement BEFORE applying to ensure that you qualify for the program and are prepared to comply with its requirements!

Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. We anticipate high interest in these popular programs and spaces may fill before the deadline.

 

Applicants must submit the following to be considered for admission:

 

For the Bachelor of Arts in Information Technology/HIT and the Certificate in Health Information Technology:

 

1). Completed HIT4 Scholars Program Application for Admission. This application may be printed out and faxed or mailed to the address below. When you submit your application, you must also include:

a. Statement of Purpose (approximately one page, 200-500 words, indicating why you want to pursue your selected HIT4 program)

b. Résumé

c. $55 application fee, or a Fee Waiver Form

 

2). High school transcripts or copy of GED

And, if applicable: official, sealed transcripts from all colleges attended. (Note: BAIT applicants must enter with at least 45 credits.) Submit these materials to the address below.

3). Two (2) letters of reference from supervisors of paid professional work or volunteer work, former instructors, or other persons who can attest to the applicant's ability to undertake college studies successfully.

4). Online e-Assessment

5). Pre-admission interview, if requested by the Admissions Committee.

 

 

For the Master of Science in Information Technology/HIT

 

1). Submit the Graduate Application Cover Sheet to MSPS separately at the address or  fax below.

2). Complete and submit the CUA online graduate application. [Note: The online application is optimized for application efficiency. The online application gives applicants control of submitting not only the graduate application, but also, nearly all of the supporting documents. For this reason, it is very important that applicants have all of their required documents ready to submit before starting the application. Applicants will not be able to complete the online application without submitting all of the necessary documents. Required documents: Statement of Purpose, unofficial transcripts from all undergraduate, and higher level courses if applicable, contact information for at least three recommenders, and résumé.] 

3). Complete the online e-Assessment. 

All application materials for the HIT programs (excluding the online application) must be submitted via the following address, fax, or e-mail.
