8 week course will meet every Tuesday  (5:50 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.) March 14th - May 2nd (Plus one additional course meeting Friday, March 31st)

Cost:

$1,195  ($1,095 if you’re a member of SHRM or a local SHRM chapter).

Tuition INCLUDES the cost of the SHRM Learning System materials.

SHRM Eligibility Table

 

  • Applicants must show that they have worked in an HR role for more than 1,000 hours within a calendar year, which equates to 1 year of experience.
  • HR experience may be in an HR exempt or nonexempt capacity.
  • Applicants with a graduate degree (or global equivalency) in HR must currently be employed in an HR role.
  • HR experience may be classified directly, as working in an HR role, or indirectly, by consulting, educating or researching HR practices linked specifically to human resource management.
  • SHRM membership is not required.

Advancing your career. For those not seeking certification, the SHRM Learning System for SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP course provides a comprehensive and accelerated option for professional development. Registration deadline:  Three days before class is scheduled to begin, or until course fills.

Cancellation policy:  In order to withdraw from the course with a reversal/refund of tuition, students must make their request in writing at least 72 hours before the scheduled start of the course.  Requests may be submitted to Tony Boehm (boehm@cua.edu). 

Program Requirements: Students must hold a high school diploma to participate in the program.  In addition, certain criteria must be met for participants taking the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam.  Attendance in at least 75% of the class time is required to pass the course. 

SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Exam Requirements: To apply for either the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, candidates must have a combination of education and professional HR experience. For more information, visit SHRMcertification.org
