Laura Viehmyer’s career spans 35 years in human resources management for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.  Joining Development Alternatives Incorporated (DAI) in December 2010, Laura is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, responsible for DAI’s global human resources in this $500MM revenue global development company, with more than 3,000 employees in over 65 countries.  Additionally, she heads the corporate function of administration and facilities for DAI.  Laura is on DAI’s Global Executive Team, reports to the CEO, and serves on the DAI ESOP, Inc. Board of Directors. 

Previously, Laura held executive and senior management positions with organizations including the United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP), the American Institute of Architects, The Travelers Corporation’s EBS company, the American Council of Life Insurance, and the Arnold Palmer Golf Management Company.  Passionate about fairness, equity and objectivity, Laura personally reaches out to get to know employees on an individual level to help nurture a work environment that appreciates the work accomplished, offers learning opportunities, and promotes fun in the process!  A frequent speaker on strategic and operational human resources management, Laura’s career was recently featured in a white paper by the Human Resources Certification Institute to inspire current and future HR leaders.
