Biography

Dr. Cheryl Wood was named “Professor of the Year” in 2012 and has taught at Catholic University for 13 years. She has more than 25 years of business and communication experience and is a seasoned human resource professional with expertise in management, employee development, recruiting, selection and interviewing, training, organizational development, and project management. She has worked with the government, profit, not-for-profit, academia, and private industry sectors. Dr. Wood has her Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, her Masters in Human Resources and Organizational Development, and her Doctorate in Management. Dr. Wood is an organizational effectiveness consultant working on a consultative basis in a variety of organizations within the Washington, DC area. Dr Wood has conducted needs assessments and implemented both training interventions and organizational change management projects to start up companies as well as established firms. Dr. Wood has served on multiple best practice initiatives and managed medium to large-scale projects. Additionally, she is a certified American Council on Education (ACE) course reviewer and evaluates education and training for academic credit. Dr. Wood has held executive positions in a variety of Fortune 100 companies. She teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate level, including classroom, hybrid, blended, and online.
