Graduate Admissions at MSPS

Following are the requirements and procedures for admission into graduate programs at the Metropolitan School of Professional Studies and The Tim and Steph Busch School of Business and Economics, Master of Science in Management program.

Application Requirements - GRE/GMAT are not required for admission to MSPS Graduate Programs or the Master of Science in Management Program with the Tim and Steph Busch School of Business and Economics.

CUA's online application is optimized for application efficiency. The online application gives applicants control of submitting not only the graduate application, but also, nearly all of the supporting documents. For this reason, it is very important that applicants have all of their required documents ready to submit before starting the application. Applicants will not be able to submit the online application without including the necessary documents, outlined below:

  • Graduate Application
  • Statement of Purpose, approximately 500 words in length, stating purpose for undertaking graduate studies, qualifications, personal and professional goals, and how participation in the program will help attain these goals.
  • Unofficial transcripts from all undergraduate level, or higher, courses
  • Contact information for three recommenders. Ideally, at least one academic recommendation (from a former faculty member) and one professional recommendation (preferably from a former or current supervisor) should be included.
  • $60 application fee (applicants who attend an information session are eligible for an application fee waiver)
  • Résumé, detailing your professional experiences (work, awards, memberships).

(All materials should be submitted in .doc, .wpd, .rtf, .pdf, .docx, .xlsx, or .txt formats and should be no larger than 600kb).

For International Applicants: Please be sure to attach both original copies in the native language and translated forms of all grade reports, certificates, and transcripts at the time of application. English proficiency and proof of funding documents must be presented to the Office of Graduate Admissions either by postal mail or in person. These documents will not be accepted through the online application.

Once all of the required documents are received, applications will be reviewed by the individual school or program admissions committees using the unofficial transcripts. If an offer of admission is made, then an official transcript in the original signed and sealed envelope must be received and reviewed for verification by the Office of Graduate Admissions before registration for classes is allowed. Admission decisions will be based on grade point average, undergraduate major, years and relevance of work experience, recommendations, writing ability, relevance/usefulness of program to meeting personal and professional objectives, and other relevant criteria.
